The former bodyguard called out Christian Combs for his courthouse antics after Diddy’s verdict warning it could influence the judge and hurt his father’s sentence.
Gene Deal didn’t hold back after seeing Christian Combs celebrating outside the courthouse following the federal ruling against his father, Diddy, calling the display “some clown s###” and warning it could backfire.
“Taking off his shirt, doing push-ups, all out, jumping around—come on, man,” Deal told The Art of Dialogue in a recent interview. “That’s some clown s###. King clown. That’s some real clown, man. He’s still going to jail. You happy because he didn’t get the recall and the racketeering. So, he gets to keep his money. He gets to keep his inheritance. He gets to keep all the [stuff] he stole over the years from other people. That’s why he happy.”
Deal, a former bodyguard for Diddy, criticized Christian Combs’ behavior as immature and potentially harmful to his father’s legal standing. “Outside the court, the judge might give him extra time for this his antics,” he said. “Puff not coming home, bro.”
The comments came after Diddy was denied bail on Wednesday (July 2), following his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The judge, Arun Subramanian, cited the defense’s own testimony about Diddy’s propensity for violence as a key reason for the denial. While charges related to racketeering and kidnapping were dismissed, the judge cited flight risk and ongoing investigations as reasons for the denial.
Deal also questioned Christian’s authenticity and maturity. “You ain’t no gangster,” he added. “You don’t know what a gangster is or you’re a prankster. You’re a prankster, son. Stop that.”
He added that the courthouse antics could influence the judge’s sentencing. “Let me see if he happy with this 10 years I give him,” Deal said, imagining the judge’s reaction.
Diddy, born in 1969, is expected to serve at least 85 percent of any sentence. A pre-sentencing report is expected in the coming weeks and sentencing is tentatively set for October 2.
