DDG filed a restraining order against Halle Bailey claiming she poses a danger to their son and should be blocked from taking him out of the country.
DDG has filed for a domestic violence restraining order against Halle Bailey, alleging she poses a serious emotional and psychological risk to their 17-month-old son and should be barred from taking the child overseas.
According to court filings obtained by People, the Hip-Hop artist and YouTuber—real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.—is asking a Los Angeles court to block Bailey from traveling internationally with their son, specifically citing a planned trip to Italy.
He claims the toddler would be left without court protection or “emergency intervention mechanisms” if allowed to leave the country.
In the documents, DDG accuses Bailey of making “repeated threats of suicide and self-harm.”
He also details a disturbing incident in which Bailey allegedly took a firearm with her following an argument.
He claims he later found her outside, “emotionally unwell, incoherent and potentially suicidal,” while holding the weapon.
The legal move comes just weeks after Bailey was granted temporary physical and legal custody of their child in May, following her own allegations that DDG had subjected her to physical and emotional abuse.
The couple’s co-parenting tensions have played out publicly before. In November, Bailey criticized DDG on social media after he featured their son in a livestream without her knowledge.
“Hi everyone. Just so you know, I am out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight,” she wrote on X. “I wasn’t told or notified, and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people.”
The restraining order request adds another layer to the ongoing custody dispute between the two entertainers, whose relationship has remained under scrutiny since their split.
A court hearing on the matter has not yet been scheduled.
